At Home Dog Vaccination

Convenient Dog Vaccination at Home

Your dog's health is your top priority and keeping them up to date with vaccinations is essential for their health & well-being.

Many dog owners are aware of the importance of vaccinations but may find it challenging to keep up with regular clinic visits. As a result, their dogs may become overdue for vaccinations, leaving them vulnerable to diseases that could be prevented.

“Dr Mac was very professional and caring with my two little Jack Russell‘s for check up and vaccinations. He gave great advice and followed up with further information. It was much better for the dogs to have his services come to our home. I thoroughly recommend giving Dr Mac a call if you need a vet.”

How It Works

Schedule an Appointment

Contact us to arrange a suitable time for your dog's vaccinations.

Preparation

Prior to the appointment, make sure your dog is comfortable at home. Prepare a quiet and calm area for the vet to perform the vaccinations.

Arrival of the Mobile Vet

Dr Mac will arrive at your home at the scheduled time, equipped with the necessary vaccines and medical supplies.

Examination

Dr Mac will conduct a physical examination to ensure your dog is healthy and fit for vaccinations.

Vaccinations

Your dog will receive the necessary vaccinations as recommended by our vet based on their age and vaccination schedule. Dr Mac uses triannual C5 vaccinations, which means the core vaccinations (Parvovirus, Distemper and Hepatitis) components only need to be given every 3 years.

Administration of Vaccines

Dr Mac will administer the vaccines as agreed upon. This is typically done via a quick and virtually painless injection under the skin.

Vaccination records

Dr Mac will provide you with complete vaccination records, detailing the vaccines administered, their dates, and any follow-up instructions. These records are crucial for maintaining your dog's health history.

Post-Vaccination Care

After vaccination, your dog may experience some mild symptoms or a temporary discomfort at the injection site for 1-2 days after vaccination.

Future Vaccination Schedule

Dr Mac may discuss your dog's future vaccination schedule, ensuring they receive booster shots as needed to maintain immunity.
